Cromwell Cottage - Dog Friendly

We received a welcome gift and there was even a Christmas tree which made us feel very welcome.

More logs for the fire & some dishwasher tablets & kitchen roll would have been handy.

Right in centre of Fakenham. Parking cheap and easy. Well equipped. Warm and comfortable. Particularly liked the log burner.

Description includes reference to steep stairs - they are very steep up to second bedroom and we found them a challenge.

Character of the Cottage and uniqueness.

The cottage was lovely, very quirky and great decor. Beds were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was very well equiped, perfect for a few days stay. Great location within easy walking distance from town and ideal for us as we were going to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular: only a 15 minute journey by car.

The stairs were extremely difficult to use, especially the ones leading to the 2nd bedroom in the roof space. We were 4 adults in our 70's and 80's who are reasonably fit and able but found the stairs very tricky to manage especially when carrying our luggage. We felt this should be made much clearer in the property description.

The 2 single sofa, they were really hard .

The cottage had so much character but also had everything you needed for modern living. It just made you smile staying here. It was a very short walk to the centre of town so anything you needed was close by. We also went to the races and we were able to walk there (took about 20mins) so that was great!
