Great hosts and beautiful property, inside and out. Wonderful views from the suites. Fantastic breakfast as well.

Beautiful location, incredibly kind staff, peaceful. Short drive to Pinhao.

The nice location near by Pinhao, the building and the decoration inside are really great. The staff and especially the manager "Tony" delivered a perfect service.

The swimming pool and it's surroundings. They put a lot of effort in building a beautiful an architectural house, but the he pool looks really ugly and is not of the same standard.

The property was very well maintained and the hosts were extremely friendly and courteous

The staff was very responsive and the view from the hotel was one of a kind. We also decided to eat dinner at the hotel, rather than go out. There are only four tables, so you need to make your intentions clear the day you arrive (or in advance). The food was amazing, and the service was top notch. Ana, the host and owner, is an absolutely wonderful human being. Will definitely stay again the next time we visit.

The Casa do Douro was the highlight of our stay in Portugal. The room was well-appointed and the view over the valley incomparable. What's more the service was very friendly and attentive without at all feeling overbearing or stuffy. We had dinner at the restaurant and the meal was also the best of our trip! I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. This was our honeymoon and my 8th trip to Portugal and one of the best stays.
