Quiet New Forest attic room den

The location was fabulous. Host was lovely. Slept very well.

A bit of an unusual set up and room was a bit dusty and needed updating. However great sleep and great location. And…good value for money considering location.

The property is functional and clean, there is parking available on the gravel track the property is on. The facilities are tea, coffee and the room is en suite. Joy the owner was lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. We had great walks all on the doorstep and Burley wasn’t far away. We had a lovely meal in the Crown where the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast at the cider farm (fantastic) All in all it was a lovely short break.

The room was a little cramped as there was a single bed in the room which took up a lot of room. The TV signal was poor and in the end unwatchable (there was bad weather and you are in a valley) all of this didn’t bother us as we were only there one night. The nearest pub is a long walk away down mainly unpaved, unlighted, main forest roads, so very dark.

The accommodation is located in hosts home which is down a small bumpy lane. It's surrounded by trees which are home to at least 3 owls ! The room is small but has everything and more! Microwave plates, knives forks hairdryer tv., kettle coffee tea milk ..the bathroom.is more than adequate. The bed is a standard double and there is a single bed as well. The double was perfectly comfortable It isn't the Ritz but you already know that by the fair price

There was nothing not to like ...its a little dated but if you want an inexpensive night in the New Forest then it's perfect
