Charming Spacious 3-bedroom Beach Holiday House, Norfolk

Lovely chalet, have stayed on this site before so was familiar with all the facilities, the rooms were comfortable and spacious

The area is excellent and the location is great but unfortunately most facilities were closed and we struggled to find we're to buy electricity

It was a lovely modest little home with TV and dvd player in both the living room and main bedroom. Accommodation is a 15min walk from the beach, the arcade on site was lovely, they can give up to £50 cashback which is handy as we couldn't find a cash point. A good sized shop on site with average prices and a good selection of things to buy, very friendly staff on site. The cafe has lovely food and fantastic coffee.

The accommodation did have a strong damp smell that is mentioned in other reviews but once you open windows and air out, it's not as noticeable. The bunkbeds are small and more suitable for children up to about age 8. We used about £17 in three days because we had to run the space heaters to try and warm the place up, the accommodation was quite damp but I have put that down to us going in early spring and being by the sea. The shower is awful, the pressure is very bad and it comes out like a dribble, me and my sons found it very amusing.

The accommodation is more like a 3 bedroom house than a basic seaside chalet. It's so inviting. It had everything you need in a holiday accommodation. Also it's only a short walk to the beach and all the entertainment needed. If you are lucky you might even see some seals swimming around.

Location was ok. Nice sandy beach maybe 5 min drive.

If I had carefully read the description beforehand, I would never have booked this place. Upon arrival, I was asked for an additional £120 deposit, which I practically had to fight to get back. On top of that, guests are required to pay separately for electricity and even bring their own bed linen and towels, simple essentials like toilet paper – something I have never experienced with other rentals. The property itself is far from fresh: there was a stale, musty smell that absorbed into all our clothes and belongings. The overall condition of the place is quite run-down, and to make matters worse, I was unfairly blamed for a broken switch that was clearly already worn out. And yeah, there was no sea view as described. I would not recommend this accommodation, and I strongly suggest future guests read the fine print very carefully before booking.

Place was clean

It has a washing machine!! The meter card, for the electric lasts a good while. The deposit was delivered back to me within 1 week. Angela, the host, was always available with help to any problems, friendly and polite.

The carpets throughout the property were old and harboured an unpleasant smell. The property smelt of damp even with 24/7 ventilation. The toilet seat fell off on the first day and even though the owner was arranging workmen to come out to fix it she expected us to leave all of our personal belongings and let the guys use the key code. We did not leave the property until the work was completed. ( On the 2nd day) Then the toilets flush stopped working!!!! Another day waiting in for the workman to arrive and fix. The cooker, fridge and bunkbed were all really old and needed replacing. The vacuum cleaner was left next to the stairs ( which was not the problem) the fact that the cleaners, before we arrived hadn't emptied the see thru cylinder was yucky 🤢

Lovely clean and comfortable chalet. Had everything we needed with local entertainment and shops. Also close to beach. Would visit again. Thanks
