Fabulous Zen like experience—- great yoga classes every morning 5-6 days a week. The food was first class and the staff were amazing. Beautiful suites and different types to choose from. Was here for three weeks —- sad to go!

Booked through Costco and loved it! We are a 30 year old US couple and thought this was a terrific value for what we paid. The focus of our trip was to hang up and hang out and this was a great place to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. The food is à la carte and every plate is beautifully made and tastes so good! I didn’t have a bad bite all trip long. Drinks are solid too. This is not a party environment. It’s focused on relaxation. The resort is beautiful and serene—very quiet despite construction next door. The staff is kind, attentive and personable. Take advantage of the activities and don’t miss the serenity of the spa area and its adjoining pool. Wonderful trip; I couldn’t have asked for more. Our room was really spacious and clean. We stayed in the palafitos and it even had a lovely rooftop lounging area that we didn’t expect but got great use of! All in all I had a great experience and would absolutely return.

The staff at Blue Diamond is amazing and very friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderful, fresh and plentiful. We loved the sea and beach, but also our jungle views and the birds and animals. The vibe was what we wanted, relaxed and easy-going. We were happy we picked Blue Diamond!

What a shame. I’m sure that 10 years ago this was truly a luxury resort. Not anymore. We’re pretty flexible when it comes to expectations but there were so many negatives we cannot recommend spending your money here. 1. RIDICULOUSLY LOUD AND DANGEROUS CONSTRUCTION FROM MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AROUND THE CLOCK!!! 4 cranes, booming pile drivers, all literally 20 feet away from the only walkway. No construction barriers so that any debris could fall at any time onto the path. 2. Not enough servers. Some were very nice, but most were obviously grumpy because they are overwhelmed. 3. Food is better than the typical buffet style, however, not diverse enough menu. 4. Since when can you have not even close to enough lounges for guests? No one should have to wake up at the crack of dawn to “save” lounges when there are empty lounges saved for nonexistent Circle One members (not once did we see these occupied. They sat there unused). Too bad because this could have been a wonderful vacation because of the natural surroundings, but the horrendous construction noise negated anything peaceful about the resort.

This is a intimate, carefully curated space. The property blends with the surrounding jungle, with pathways through mangroves and birds singing in the morning. The rooms are spacious, elegant and serene, featuring high ceilings, natural textures and warm light. The gastronomy is outstanding with beautifully presented dishes and fresh ingredients far from the typical repetitive buffet; the service is attentive, polished and never intrusive.

The place is incredibly peaceful, making it perfect for relaxing. The facilities do look a little tired in some areas, but nothing major or concerning. We absolutely love the spa and the restaurants were also a highlight of our stay.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, that said, it could be even better with a proper update and refresh. Some facilities look quite worn, a few door are very heavy and difficult to open, and we noticed minor issues such as leaves in the bathroom and even some ants. Since the hotel is very natural and immersed in its environment we understand that it can be challenging to fully control these aspects. On the positive side, we have many great things to say. The staff is fantastic, and the food is excellent. Everything we requested was promptly delivered and every detail regarding restaurant reservations and activities was carefully handled by the concierge team, who were always kind and attentive. During dinner, the waiters were consistently welcoming and smiling. Housekeeping in our room was also good.

Everything is designed with a natural and harmonious touch, creating a calm and balanced environment. The staff is kind and attentive and the food is amazing.

We went on our honeymoon and it was a wonderful experience! The staff was so accommodating and welcoming especially the wait staff in particular Hugo, Fernando, and Francisco! We would love to return again!

The atmosphere is calm, quiet and perfect for relaxing. No loud music or parties, just a chill, easy vibe and peace. The hotel is simple but everything is high quality. The rooms are comfortable and the food and drinks were excellent.
