"Excellent stay"

10.0

Overall, a lovely place. Our room was very large and clean. The private patio and lawn with comfortable lounges and table with chairs was lovely. The entire place has a very zen feel. The beach is quite narrow but there seemed to be lounges available whenever we went, if an umbrella was needed we just had to ask. The food was quite good. For those looking for a buffet you may want to go elsewhere. All the restaurants are à la carte. Breakfast has continental breakfast style food that is self-serve but that’s about it. There are two bars, one at the beach and one at the main pool area. The small pool at the spa is quite nice for a quiet read and the water warmer than the unheated main pool. The staff are pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The only drawback is a huge hotel being constructed nextdoor. I’d recommend staying away from lagoon or beachfront rooms until it’s finished. The patio rooms and cenote rooms are far enough away the we had virtually no distraction from the construction. Oddly the noisiest it seemed to be was on the path to the pool and restaurant. It was virtually unnoticeable by the beach. Not sure if it was bothersome at the pool area, we didn’t sit there often but it didn’t seem to bother those who did. We’d happily return.

"Perfect for a relaxing and gorgeous getaway"

10.0

The resort was absolutely stunning! It is very private and relaxing and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Our room had a gorgeous view! Although it could use a few minor repairs, it was nothing to deture us from returning. We also really enjoyed seeing all the wildlife on the property. The food was absolutely divine👌! Truly some of the best food I've ever had at a resort or restaurant! We had no problems with any of the arrangements during our stay and would definitely come back! Thank you to the staff for making our stay spectacular 😊

"Chilled out time"

8.0

One of the most quiet mellow resorts we've visited. Most of the food items were fantastic. The staff were very kind and helpful. There were enough chairs by the pool and on the beach, most of the time. Overall a very relaxing week.

"Amazing Week at Blue Diamond"

10.0

My family and I stayed at Blue Diamond last week and had an absolutely wonderful experience. We had the pleasure of being served by Raymundo at Aguamarina several times throughout our stay, and he truly made each evening special. Raymundo was consistently attentive, kind, and welcoming, ensuring we felt well taken care of every time. His service was exceptional, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly.

"Relaxing time with nature"

10.0

Relaxing time with nature. We spent 14 days discovering the connection with nature and beautiful resort. Like many we felt the resort needs a little TLC but it wasn’t a big factor in our overall experience. Food is amazing Staff so gracious Special shoutout to Dayana, she is a true ambassador for the ethos of the resort. I truly recommend taking part in her activities.

"Tarnished Diamond Resort"

6.0

We travel to Mexico at least twice a year. We have stayed at many different resorts all over Mexico. So, with that knowledge and experience, I feel that Blue Diamond Luxury resort is a 3 star. I read all the reviews before booking. I am not sure how any one could give it a 5 star rating. Maybe just not knowing what a 5 star resort would really be like? The positives: 1. The staff work really hard and try to please. Landscaping crew does an excellent job.. The housekeeping crew does a great job cleaning everything. The servers in the restaurants work so hard. Jenny stands out. 2.The rooms are huge. 3.The jungle experience was wonderful. We enjoyed walking the paths and looking for animals. 4 The beach is small but nice. There is one guy with a rake and wheelbarrow trying so hard to keep the seaweed cleaned up. Hard to fight nature but he is doing his best. The negatives: 1.LOUD CONSTRUCTION! There is a resort being built right next door. There is construction noise throughout the resort. Construction dust that covers the plants next to the beach. The only day they do not work is Sunday. The only place that you can go to not hear the noise is at the beach where the crashing waves cover it up. 2. The resort is dated and falling apart. There is a lot of maintenance work that is needed to bring this up to a 5 star level. 3. The minibar was not restocked daily No snacks 4.No night time turndown service No slippers. No bedside rug 5.The only entertainment was a singer and sax player at Ambar the whole week. Nothing else. Boring No daytime activities. No kayak No tastings 6.Food was good but not amazing. They always presented it well, but it just wasn't that good. The chicken and beef takes major chewing and very difficult to cut. 7. No late check out without a fee. 8. $20 for a room service 9. The room was huge but had many issues. The main one was an extremely HARD bed and HARD pillows. PAINFUL! Lack of control on room temperatures. Threads hanging on the towels. No hand towels. Difficult to open patio doors. 10.Bikes are difficult to find and are in very poor condition Not safe to ride on a 10 foot wide path with golf carts and people walking. The path has many dips and cracked tiles so you have to watch where you are walking. 11. They need to hire more servers! Please tips the ones that are there because they are running trying to keep up. Fidel on the beach was great and should train others. 12. Chair game is going strong here. You have to grab a chair early or you are out of luck. Not all loungers had chair pads. Pool and beach are both small areas. Beach towels with holes! Chair cushions with rips and stains. Do not go here if you have any mobility issues! There is a lot of walking and alot concrete stairs, uneven paths and no elevators. This is not a place to party. People come here for a peace and quiet vacation. It would have been nice to know that construction was happening. I am happy we were able to have a bit of a jungle experience but we will not be returning.

"My husband and I spent 10 days at Blue Diamond"

8.0

Pros: Great food, big comfortable room, beautiful beach, friendly service, lovely jungle setting with lots of interesting animals Cons: Pools could be bigger and warmer for swimmers ( although never crowded), public washrooms could be better (no hooks or surfaces to put your belongings), the bikes were in pretty bad shape, the whole place needs maintenance and refreshing but then it would probably cost double what it costs.

"Experiential all-inclusive"

10.0

Unique Mayan historic experience. ✨ Diana was amazing guiding us through Mayan cultural traditions. The Temazcal was transformative. This was the second time I had done it at this resort and it was the best this time - it really worked for me. New to us was the Cacao tasting, also interesting and informational and tasty!! I only wish I had more time to enjoy all this place has to offer. The food and the staff are the absolutely highlight and reason to visit. We are more than comfortable and cared for this week. Thank you to the entire team!
