Akwa a modern seaside gem

It was not possible to relaxe due faulty stair rail , and cleaning instructions to do before we leave. We are in our 70s it was difficult.

I know the property wasn’t advertised with a garden but we did sit out at the top of the garden which if it was sorted out would be a lovely addition to the property

Property very clean and equipped with everything you could need. Easy walk into Staithes. Host communication great.

Heating came on at strange times.

Spacious , well presented , spotlessly clean and very comfortable .

location could have been better. No information re steepness of route down to the village, especially if you have any infirmaties.

The stairs of the cottage are very steep. Seating area in lounge not over comfortable, other than that the cottage is very well equipped, cleanliness top notch. Parking very good.

Very well equipped kitchen

The cottage was lovely. Modern and clean. Parking was tight but good to have. The host and maintenance man responded promptly to our problems.

There were issues with the electricals and heating. No power downstairs when we arrived and lack of a mobile signal made it difficult to contact host. Once informed, promptly sorted by very helpful maintenance man Bobby. In the evening realised problem with boiler. Again lack of signal made it hard to report. Electric fire gave some heat but loud vibration noises. Host and maintenance man sorted it. Latter did say he would give thorough check before next visitors. Instructions for boiler/heating system would have been helpful.

Ideal location for Staithes harbor, no drama with parking and only a 5 min walk to the nucleus of Staithes. The bed was super, and as for the rest of the house, spacious warm and tidy.

The shower was sub par, big deal for me after being subjected to the cold sea mist all day.
