Mill Cottage, Upper Hulme

We booked this accommodation for a climbing trip to the Roaches and it was perfect just for that! The Cottage is spacious, clean and well equipped and we couldn't fault anything. Communication between us and the host was also seamless. The village pub is less than a 5 minute walk away which is well worth a visit, we had a great meal and service at Ye Olde Rock! Walking to The Roaches was also a doddle with all our bouldering mats e.t.c about half an hour/40 mins and your well within it. We had a great weekend and would definitely return!

Great location, lots to do near by and plenty of towns and villages around to mooch about the shops. Super comfy and kitchen was super useful. Felt very homely

Location was good on the edge of Leek - close to local peaks. Small garden that overlooked a waterway was very nice.

The house was damp with a lingering smell of mould. Layout of furniture made it difficult to socialise as a family in the evening. Plates in the cupboards needed washing before they could be used

Lovely character property in great location for hiking and exploring the Peak District.

The smell. There was a musty mildew damp smell throughout the property. I would recommend you seek assurance from the property owners that this problem has been resolved at source. It spoiled what otherwise would have been a perfect stay for us.

Absolutely stunning location and perfect for what we needed as a family, beds comfortable and loved the deep bath! Garden perfectly adequate for what we required and felt safely enclosed for children and dogs

Nothing at all about the property - the position of the property does mean cars and vans are regularly speeding past which meant extra vigilance on dogs and children and something for people to consider if travelling with younger children than ours
