It was a beautiful cottage spread over 3 floors and was cosy, comfy and warm. It had everything we needed, and the hosts were responsive to any requests. Neighbours were friendly and helpful and was perfectly located for what we wanted to do. Would happily stay again

Very quaint cozy cottage. Very well equipped. Heating worked well and plenty of hot water. Good position for seeing the area.

Shower probably could do with upgrading. Hot water was plentiful but tiny shower head.

Hosts very lovely and responded to queries very promptly. Cottage very clean. Lovely having a wood burning stove with a good supply of wood. Beautiful surroundings.

The bunk beds in the second room too small for a tall adult.

"Beautiful and comfy much needed break in a picturesque setting"

8.0

Mill Cottage was a lovely home from home and very cosy with a log burner, excellent central heating and hot water. The shower was adequate and the kitchen was very well equipped. The garden was small for three dogs but ideal for a short stay as there was plenty of walking from the cottage. It was interesting being on three floors and the stairs to the first floor were quite steep! The cottage had lots of character and was immaculately clean. The internet signal was excellent and the WiFi worked perfectly, as was our mobile signal on EE. The cottage is excellently located within walking distacnce of the Roaches, Hen cloud and a short drive from Luds Church. It's also only a short drive between Leek and Buxton with great access to shops and amenities. All the joys of being remote and rural with the convenience of facilities close by. Beatuifly quiet at this time of year (November 2024). It snowed while we were staying but the area is very well served by gritters and didn't prevent us getting out and about in a wintery wonderland!!

There is no parking directly by the cottage but there are a couple of spaces only a few meters down the road. We had no issues but it was a very quiet time of year. The whole cottage is open across the three floors and we had to be a bit creative in stopping the dogs from getting up to the first floor where the bedrooms are. The stairs to the first floor were quite steep and uneven with a low ceiling, didn't bother us too much being only 5' 5" & 5' 6" tall but still felt the need to duck and hold on!!

So local to what we needed. It was such a cute place

For us it was great, but if you can’t do stairs it’s not for you.

"Lovely cottage, we will be back!"

The cottage was cosy and comfortable, a perfect place to stay while visiting relatives. The Rock Inn just up the road is lovely and recommended for a pint or a Sunday roast!
