"We stayed for a couple of nights and was perfect for our needs. Thank you."

8.0

People were friendly in the hamlet. The cottage was a mixture of old and new. There was wood for the fire. The place was clean and had everything needed. The back yard was good for the dogs. Quirky 3 floor accomodation. Good communication from hosts.

The address that we picked the key up from did not show on Google maps but we asked a friendly local and they directed us. Stairs to upstairs were quite steep but we were OK with it.

"Cosy cottage in beautiful location"

9.0

Cosy cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable. it was also close to a lovely pub and tea room, and lots of amazing hiking trails such as the Roaches and Ludd's Church.

Nothing. Everything was perfect

"Relaxing break away."

9.0

Very cosy cottage which was spotlessly clean. It was well appointed with everything you need for a short stay. Beds were comfortable and the cottage was lovely and warm especially once we’d mastered the log burner. Overall an ideal break away and we’d definitely return.

Unfortunately accessibility was problematic for one of us due to the kitchen being located in the basement. The stairs to the first floor were also too deep and steep to climb comfortably. The bath tub was also raised which meant that climbing into it to shower was impossible due to a hip condition. This issue was unique to us and wouldn’t deter us from revisiting now we know the layout better.

"Cosy Mill Cottage"

9.0

Cosy cottage, perfectly located for visiting so many places in the Southern Peak District, like Buxton, Bakewell, and the wonderful hills.

The amount of traffic on the road through the village was disappointing, but obviously there's nothing the hosts can do about this.

"Very cute cottage"

10.0

Such a sweet cottage over three floors and a little garden with a stream at the end which we loved. Parking was easy, there are great places to walk nearby and it's definitely worth visiting the Rock Inn too. We were only there for two nights and wish we had stayed longer in the end.

The stairs to the top floor are steep but were fine for us. It didn't seem like there was enough hot water for a bath but there is an electric shower which worked well. The teabags were caffeine-free so if you like a normal brew then you might want to bring your own :)

Lovely location, helpful neighbours, well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Nearby pub and tea rooms. Close to attractions. The owners were very helpful and quick to despond to any queries. Would highly recommend.
