USProperty was in a Nice Quiet Neighborhood. It was within walking distance to The bus stops to take the ferry over or you could just go ahead & take the 15 minute ferry walk. The Room was nice & Cozy. heat & air were both Available. The beds were comfortable to come back to after Spending all day walking & out & about in the city. There are 2 beds & 2 couches in the room. It also has a full size Fridge if you need to get groceries or anything like that. It has a kitchen sink, Microwave & dishes if you need, No stove for cooking like that. It has a Bathroom sink, Toilet & Shower, Water was always Hot & towels were provided. The room Also Had WiFi! Oleg was such a nice & welcoming man we Loved talking with him about His family & daughters! He gave such nice recommendations of places to eat & visit! We would 100% stay here again if we were visiting New York Again!!

The WC is very awkward especially if you are a larger person
GBThis is a self-catering basement apartment located on a quiet street with on-street parking, some local convenience shopping and reasonably close to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal for pedestrian access to Manhattan.
The Bathroom facilities, particularly the WC, are very cramped and the door didn't shut effectively. The external access staircase needs more effective lighting as the steps are slightly uneven and a potential trip hazard in the dark.

MXWe had a wonderful stay! The host was incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming it really made a difference in our experience. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The facilities were excellent, and everything was just as described (or even better). We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and would definitely stay here again.

SKThe accommodation was affordable. Staten Island is about a 25-minute ferry ride from Manhattan, and during every ride you get a close view of the Statue of Liberty. The apartment is about a 15-minute walk from the ferry, and on the way you can grab a bagel and coffee to enjoy with a view of Manhattan or directly on the ferry. The accommodation was pleasant, and Oleg was a great host — he waited for us until late in the evening when we arrived.
The accommodation is basically a renovated basement with low ceilings and one small window — taller people might find it uncomfortable. However, we knew what to expect, so it didn’t really bother us. The bathroom was quite small, but the beds were great, and we slept very well.
USUSWe liked that we could walk to the "free" Staten Island Ferry Terminal. We rode it back & forth to Manhattan several times. It should be noted that the home/studio is located a few blocks up a steep hill from the terminal. You do not walk on a flat surface until just across the street from the terminal. The apartment had everything we needed, and plenty of space. We also liked the host Oleg. He's a nice man. He greeted us at arrival and took us down to the apartment.
The toilet is too close to the wall and cabinet sink. My husband and I were unable to sit straight on the seat because there was no room for our legs. Removing the cabinet would fix that. The right side of your body also touches the cold tiled wall. There is a low hanging pipe that runs across the kitchen ceiling that brushed the top of my husband's head if he didn't duck under it. It needs to be padded. A shower caddy would've been nice. The surface in front of the first step leading down to the apartment is uneven. You have to duck your head on the first step down to avoid hitting the edge of the roof covering. The stairs leading down need better lighting. Walkways needed to be swept. Landscaping is non existent.
