The people are fantastic. I didn't know I was a 12 min walk from the Staten Island ferry. Never been and although apprehensive about being in "the city" alone the hosts convinced me to take a walk where I rode the Ferry for the fist time and spent 15 min sitting on a bench in Manhattan before coming back. Wear good shoes! The basement space where they had me was a studio with the amenities I needed and some I didn't. Bathroom in my apartment was small with a very nice selection of cleaning products for men & women. If you are on the larger size let them know ahead of time and I'm sure they will make sure you are comfortable. Looked like they had multiple apartments in the house. They left me alone except when I needed something, then they were a phone call away and eager to help, even when busy with other things. Again, very nice immigrant couple who will accommodate your needs and try to make your stay comfortable.

The property itself was hard to recognize, I didn't know what to expect but that could be on me and my preperation. Pictures would have been helpful. I had no idea where to park or if I was in the right place. Thanks to Waze for getting me close. Parking is horrendous and I parked temporarily in front of a school. After expressing my concern, my hosts were quick to offer the spot in front of their garage for my car. Problem fixed. My apartment was just fine, plenty of space in living area with 2 large (king?) Beds. Basement apartment bathroom is small and not built for those 6 feet tall. I am not and was able to use toilet and shower but it was a bit cramped. Again, they had multiple apartments.

Lovely Neighborhood, Amazingly Close To Lots Of Transit And Shops, Very Much Walkable. Towels and clean linens, couple extras provided . Host Is Engaging And Helpful , Space Was Private.

Low Ceiling & Lack Of Air Flow No Windows, Slight Musty Smell Due To It Being An Basement Apartment and lack of air flow. Landscaping Around Could Of Been Landscaped , Overall An Ok Stay For The Night. It was clean

Great location. Street parking free of charge. Nice host. Can sleep up to 4. Kitchenette avaiable.

Basement apartment with one small window. Ceiling low in places. Fine to spend a couple of nights in while touring the city. Not to linger in though. No complaints, we knew this in advance.

Oleh was a great host who met me for a late arrival and was nice enough to work around a scheduling snafu. The apartment is spacious, very clean, has a great little kitchen, and proper bathroom. The bed was covered in pillows and extremely comfortable. Ample outlets for recharging and it was easy to park my large SUV.

The host is very kind, accomodating, and responds within minutes. Easy to arrange check-in. Affordable stay in a very good location (~15-minute walk to the ferry). Necessities are provided (towels, TP). Apartment is clean and comfortable. Perfect if you intend to just stay the night, less so if you want to spend more time in the apartment.

The ceiling is a bit low so you have to be careful in case you are tall. The toilet is a bit too close to the sink, which makes it very difficult to sit down if you have long legs.

This property had very comfortable beds, everything you might need in the kitchen and the location was excellent for the Staten Island Ferry. The host was really friendly and helpful and we had a great stay.

Hard to change this one but the ceiling was very low and my husband is 6"4 so this was a bit of a struggle. The toilet really needs moving as it is impossible to sit on the toilet as one would normally do as the sink is so close.
