Such a superb hotel. Incredible location close to everything but so quiet and calm! Beautiful rooms, ours had a balcony to the countryside with a view of the ponies. The hotel itself is beautiful - the pool is a great size with comfortable sun loungers, and the restaurant area at golden hour is really something else. The food was really well cooked and a nice variety, we had dinner here 4 our of 5 nights. The staff was very nice and attentive!

The only thing was the air con in our room made a very loud humming noise a while after it was turned off, which made falling/staying asleep really hard.

Lovely staff, excellent service and wonderful food, with menu changing daily (which often does not happen but is important for a stay of more than a couple fo days). Nice grounds and pool.

Great location, spacious parking, large deep pool with artificial 'current', warm welcome and caring owners, amazing cuisine, the fact that you live in breathing history, calm and beautiful nature around, lovely ponies and a charming cat. If I could rate 11 out of 10, I would!

our first room was lovely, a good size, nice bathroom, simple décor and useful storage. Lovely pool area with sunbathing loungers alongside. A small terrace adjacent our room. Dining terrace on first night was enjoyable place to be. Plenty of parking Pet friendly

Sadly the hotel had some quite major issues with the sewers while we were there and we had to move to another room as the toilet overflowed across the bathroom. This meant that the dining terrace was dug up to repair the soil pipe to one of the sceptic tanks, so the smell was unpleasant and the remainder of the stay not as enjoyable as it should have been. The chef is the owner of the hotel, he focuses on local specialties which means the menu offers little for the less adventurous palette.

We have previously around 30 years ago, still the same wonderful setting in the Dordogne countryside. The hotel is still exactly how we remembered, however there is still a problem with the water system. It was necessary to run the hot water for at least 5 minutes for it to run hot. A minor issue, but an awful lot of water wasted at a cost to the hotel.

The Wi FI was very slow, but to be expected Ewing so far onto the countryside.

The shower in our room was very impractical and the usual hotel issue of not having a mirror and a plug near each other The entrance way to the room we stayed in was quite tricky as it was narrow steep stairs
