It was clean, had a beautiful view, very comfortable. Also private space and room to dine together. I also loved the pets , made me smile every morning when I saw them

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Spirit of the River Lodge! Nestled by the river, the lodge boasts incredible room designs and breathtaking window views that make you feel one with nature. A huge thank you to Rodi and Claudia for making our experience so unforgettable. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Rodi’s tour of the Inca sites was nothing short of extraordinary—his passion and knowledge brought the history and spirit of the area to life. If you can, ask him to be your guide; you’ll gain so much insight and connection to the Sacred Valley! Claudia’s cooking was equally remarkable—each meal was a masterpiece filled with love and flavor. And, of course, we can’t forget Tupac, their adorable and friendly llama. Hugging him was such a unique and heartwarming experience! The lodge is a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and cultural immersion. To top it off, Rodi is beginning to organize Inca Trail tours with a big focus on ensuring porters are treated with the utmost care and respect. If you’re looking to explore one of the most unique places on Earth while supporting ethical practices, this is the place to start. We couldn’t recommend Spirit of the River Lodge more highly. The place is amazing The rooms were very spacious carefully crafted in combination with the environment so peaceful and relaxing, you can make your own BB close to the river, The staff were very friendly.

A perfect secluded spot along the river for a quiet interlude.

Nothing to dislike. Maybe not as modern as a full service hotel but the setting makes up for any minor inconvenience.

The place of the Spirit of the River Lodge itself is magic. The rooms and the outline of the lodge area are embedded into nature. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and each room is different. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms great and. I loved the tranquility, hearing the birds, the river. There is a fireplace. It is a place to regenerate. The hosts Claudia and Rudy are wonderful persons and do everything so you have a wonderful stay. The lodge is very close to Urubamba. I absolutely recommend this place!

What a tranquil and welcoming property tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the sacred valley! Rudi and Claudia were exceptional hosts. They were so friendly and hospitable. Dinner was fantastic and they even accommodated my friend’s vegan needs. Our room was gorgeous with an amazing view and balcony. The bed was cozy and warm. We ended the evening next to the fire, gazing at the stars with Túpac the Llama. Rudi even arranged a few guided tours for us that were absolutely perfect!

Our driver had a bit of trouble finding the place via google maps. The Waze app however got us there.

The room and bathroom was very clean and had beautiful style. There was also a well kept garden and hang out areas. Our dinner was also fantastic and service was very timely. The hostess was absolutely amazing and ensured we were comfortable.
