Stylish Victorian Apartment's close to the Botanical gardens, Free parking!

We loved everything about this beautiful apartment. The size, the amazing kitchen, the en suite bathrooms attached to both bedrooms, the comfy beds and couches, and all the added touches that made us feel so welcome. Our host was super responsive from the time of booking throughout our stay. It was in a great location to be able to explore Edinburgh. Highly, highly recommend !!

The apartment was spacious and tastefully decorated in a quiet location (despite my initial reservations when I first saw how busy Ferry Rd was!) Martin was very welcoming and shared lots of useful information to enhance our stay. The flat was close to several bus stops into town. Lovely views of the castle from the lounge window and easy stroll to the Botanical Gardens. A really comfortable lounge to rewind and relax in at the end of a busy day walking. Really appreciated having a separate toilet in the foyer! Over all we really enjoyed our stay.

Am some what reluctant to leave negative comments as we did enjoy our time here but when stripping the beds at the end of our stay was a little horrified to find some of the pillows we had been sleeping on were covered in yellow stains and a topper on one of the single beds badly stained. This was a surprise as the flat was very clean. However, an easy issue to rectify.

It was difficult to keep warm and the hot water ran out quickly, no washing machine.

The location of Stylish Victorian is excellent! It’s not in the center of town but there are numerous nearby bus stops to get you in various parts of downtown and landmark areas. One bus stop is in front of the property so it’s very convenient! The flat is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and we ate breakfast in every day so it was great not to have to rush out to begin our day. Less than a five minute walk, there is a mini mart, a little shop with natural and organic products such as teas, eggs and fruit- the most delicious orange I have had in a long time! A pharmacy with a very helpful and friendly pharmacist who gave me a good recommendation for my sore throat and cold. A five minute walk also gets you to a local pub, the Herringbone. Delicious options for dinner and good selection of beer and wine. The staff was attentive and friendly and very helpful when I told them I avoid gluten. Martin greeted us and introduced himself in the morning. He was very welcoming and helpful. Prior to our arrival he and Kristen sent loads of useful information about fun things to see and do. A beautiful touch was a Welcome Note in the dining room with a bottle of wine. :) We are a family of three but the way the flat is set up it would also be great for two couples. Each bedroom is en suite and on opposite ends of the flat with a big kitchen in between. We can’t wait to return!

The bathroom in our bedroom was a bit small so after a shower, difficult to get dressed. The other bathroom was roomier. A dry rack to hang and air out our clothes or a bit more hooks on the wall or doors would be helpful. But really, with all the pros of the flat not at all a big deal. ;)
