Faced Powercutoffs and late night call in the room

We opted for two wintergreen connecting rooms 513 and 514. Excellent view of the hills and the village and the clouds passing by. Food was very good. All staff were very good and served with a smile. Imran the rickshaw driver recommended by them took us on a nice sight seeing trip of Igatpuri. He was very helpful when we needed some medicines at 8.15 am in the morning and went out of his way to get it for us. Property is wheel chair friendly and my 84 year old mother enjoyed the stay.

All we intended in our holiday stay here was to linger around and have time to relax and unwind with family. And to be pampered a little in quiet comfort. Rakabi, The Fern offered just that. The hospitality of every staff member was courteous and warm - not intervening, but ready to serve with a smile, just a call away. The ambience is pleasantly grand, not unnecessarily pompous, and the housekeeping spic and span in and around the property. Weekends see heavy footfall, especially in the dining hall, but the services are well-managed with adequate personal attention despite a buffet setup (would (specially mention manager Mr Ganesh Mallick). Food was diverse, exotic and well-balanced to tease the taste buds but flavoured to suit children and elders alike. The recipes felt crafted like what you would ask your home-chef to make - blending healthy food with taste. The complimentary high tea in the open lobby against the backdrop of monsoon rains and relevant soft music was refreshing. The facility has an in-house Spa serviced by competent professionals at a moderate extra cost to provide a relaxing pamper in case you need one after a tiring trekking day. The gym is well eqipped to suit your routine work-out needs. The swimming pool well maintained, providing adequate privacy being on the first floor. All in all, the Rakabi lived up to our expectations adding quite some delight to the comfort.

A covered car parking would have been much appreciated. A car wash facility in the premises would add value.
