Cozy rural lodge, amazing views close to Holmfirth

Great location for going on walks either in the country or to local villages. Great view of the hills from all the windows. Lodge stayed nice and warm despite it being freezing and snowy outside. Will definitely be coming back!

The views were incredible, spacious lodge. The children’s colouring and games were a lovely touch. The snow added perfectly to our stay!

Exceptionally clean property with fantastic views. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be back when next in the area.

Quiet. Nice setting. Good water pressure and lots of hot water. Large off street parking.

- Location / property identification: We had to compare the location map from Booking.com to Google Maps to see where the lodge was located. Some locals suggested we even look on the othe side of Danford Road! You need to add to lookout for the “Greaves Farm” sign on a stone wall between the Hade Edge School and the intersection of Cole Lane with Greave road. - all of the mugs we used had to be washed first due to the residue of coffee/tea left in them - After two different times of being unable to get the bathroom door open, we had to remove the strike plate to keep the door from not opening. - The gate needs both lubricant (currently rusted) and realignment to make it much easier to close - walls are paper thin - no instructions on how to use one of the electric room heaters

Lovely lodge on a small farm , lovely views and very clean and comfortable… lovely to watch the ducks so happy in their pond … the lodge was cosy , and plenty of space , beautiful walks and 2 miles into town …

Just two outside chairs , so had to take dining chairs out, ( the chairs need attention, wobbly ) and would have appreciated a pint of milk in fridge , I know it’s self catering but even long life milk , just so you don’t have to drive to shops straight away … other that everything was lovely …

Rural location with amazing views. The beds were comfy The property was clean Loved watching the wildlife from the windows

It ticked all the boxes for what we needed. As it's a temporary house structure, the walls are thin like a caravan. Thankfully, no one in the party snored!

Peaceful location. Plenty of good, varied walks in the area.

Perhaps a few more kitchen utensils, e.g. serving spoons, dishes.
