GBGBWe had a lovely stay in Ye Olde Bowling Green Inn. Though it was only one night, we found the entire place to feel very homely and great value for money. Our room was cosy and secure, the staff friendly, and the food/catering thoughtful and tasty. An ideal place to relax after some long hilly walks.
We had just one issue which was the hot water in the shower as it was prone to run out for a couple minutes before coming back. That meant our showers took a bit longer than usual, which is just a minor inconvenience.
GBIt was a lovely pub with a great atmosphere & good food, the bed was so comfortable you just sank into it. Samatha and her family couldn’t do enough for you will definitely be back.

GBGood size room and bathroom. All was spotlessly clean. Really comfortable pillows and bed. Great views. Pub area was comfortable and inviting with a number of real fires on the go. Samantha was an excellent host as were her daughters. Enjoyed the Quiz night. Breakfast was very filling. Our evening meals and desserts all good home cooked food.
There is nothing really not to like about this place. All the issues raised on previous reviews are being taken on board by the lovely people who are now running this pub and making a go of it and we had a lovely chat with Samantha on checking out. Yes there are some creaky floors and the shower in our room is compact but it is definitely worth a visit. We wish Samantha and her family every success and will be back.
GBWarm and personal welcome from Samantha the proprietor of this pub which is full of character. Room was warm and comfortable with great views over the valley. Food in the restaurant was home cooked and excellent value. A good selection at breakfast. We would happily stay again.

GBThis is a last minute booking so no high hopes, but it turns out to be clean and nice. Staff is friendly. The pub has open fire and live music which makes this little place so comfortable and lovely. Breakfasts portion is very generous!
No WiFi available at room. We stayed only one night and this did not seem like a problem to us. But availability would be a plus xx
