Gileston Manor Luxury B&B

Breakfast was ample, some further cooked options would be good. Process of ordering a little confusing.

Breakfast was lovely and as much as you wanted with a wide range of choice, views and rooms were stunning. Lovely ambiance and everywhere you looked the place just made you “WOW” room was fantastic with a roll top bath at the end of the bed. All in all we had a wonderful time and will definitely return in the future.

The weather other than that we would have changed nothing

The grounds are absolutely stunning and very well kept. Loved walking round with a morning coffee (We also loved the little old church right next door that you can peek inside) Short drive to local areas and nice local pubs.

We did feel slightly let down, but only with the communication. They moved our room to one of the properties next to the Manor (which was gorgeous) and said this was due to ‘maintenance issues’ in the Manor - however it was only when we went to reception to grab a drink at the bar and ask about breakfast the next day where we were told we couldn’t do either of these things as the house was taken over by the wedding party… This was a shame as exploring the house and the breakfast etc… were a part of the boutique hotel experience we had booked and were looking forward to - (and we felt a bit embarassed to accidentally walk into this party which we were misinformed about!) a bit more transparency on the situation would have been good - appreciate it’s a wedding venue (understandable as it’s really is perfect!) and perhaps there was a mix up with rooms - but we just felt we didn’t quite get the welcoming service we would have done had we come on a different weekend. Apart from this I can’t fault the property or the room we stayed in - it really was lovely.

The location is absolutely beautiful with a stunning garden, especially beautiful in the evening with all the lights on outside. The staff were amazing and so kind and accommodating. Me and my other half booked the sauna facilities etc and it far exceeded what I expected with a hot tub and two cold plunge pools! We were told there were no bubbles in the hot tub which we didn’t mind, but ten minutes later we were give Prosecco to make up for our lack of bubbles in the tub! An amazing house and breakfast was very nice too, especially with the flexibility of almost making your own.

We did struggle to find where the reception was so maybe a bit more signage would’ve helped. Also this was more our issue, I clearly didn’t read, but our room only had a bath so if you’re someone that prefers a shower make sure you check the room your booking has one- as I said our fault rather than the hotel. Otherwise it was perfect!

The staff were warm and welcoming, they were very helpful with local places to see and where to eat. The Manor is stunning, the grounds were so beautiful and peaceful. The room was huge, the bed was very comfortable and we felt like royalty. There were plenty of lights, mirrors and plug sockets in the room.

Phone signal not great, but the free wifi makes up for it, though this means you cannot cast to the TV in the room as it is on a different wifi

Amazing grounds, breakfast was good. Decor really vibrant. Got a takeaway and ate outside in the garden and it was magical. The different birds roaming around provided a peaceful and interesting retreat. Had a relaxing bath and even had bubble bath provided!

Need to check locally if local places served food in evening as local pub didn't on a Monday. Nice walks in area.

Was lovely from the start! Beautiful building and grounds. Breakfast was perfect. Bed was super comfy! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if I ever return to the area!
