Sunset House On The Beach

Perfect location, right by the beach. Wasn’t the cleanest accommodation and the lawn needed a good mow, but large bedrooms, good showers,heating, tv and internet, the views of the beach and over to Scotland are incredible. There’s a place called Wishers to get really good burgers/pizza and breakfast a few steps away. Parking right outside the property . There’s a pub called The Ship, which allows dogs, but doesn’t do food and another one called Jacks surf bar which does food but only allows dogs outside, where the menu is smaller than if you sit inside, both of these pubs are less than a 2 minute walk. There are some takeaways that deliver to the property via Foodhub.

Beautiful home, so much space! They even left us out a bottle of red for the occasion which was so thoughtful. Will definitely be coming back again and again. Thanks so much!

What a wonderful place to spend a weekend! The location is excellent, you're literally a stones throw from the beach, two pubs and restaurants and a cafe. The house is truly beautiful, we and the dogs felt right at home, and the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch and very much appreciated, thank you!

We liked everything.

House was pleasant and bedrooms were nice. Bed was comfy. Located on the beach front with easy parking. basics were supplied eg. towels/bedding/light supplies eg tea bags/salt etc. Host was not around but sent ahead instructions and information which was helpful.

As we had bad weather and there is very little to do in the local area, we spent a lot of time in the property. The lounge area was very disappointing. The sofa was like sitting on a hard block of wood and the TV is mounted on the wall so there are very few places where you can actually see it without straining your neck. It would have been fine if we could have gotten comfy and watched films etc. but this was almost impossible to do. There are two chairs but you can't relax in them for an evening. Real shame and we ended up leaving a day and a night early as we were fed up. There is a nice kitchen, but again the stools and the high table are really hard and not nice at all to sit on. Bedrooms were nice. Consevatory was far too cold to sit in and no means to heat this up. There is a cafe next door which was ok, and a nice friendly pub opposite which allows dogs - food was ok. Beach is very close and the dogs loved it.

The main bedroom the mattress was very uncomfortable as to soft for me and the mattress topper was uncomfortable but that’s just my opinion

Our mini moon break straight from getting married and what a great choice we made. The perfect location for a family with young children, the park and beach a stone’s throw away. We had great weather too. The home was spacious and modern with amazing views and sunsets to see. We requested two travel cots in the accommodation and these looked brand new and like they had never been used! Great communication with fast response from Chad and family, both prior and during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

We had to hoover a couple of times due to finding a lot of dog hair and balls of fluff in the living room, we understand it’s a pet friendly home however, that wasn’t great when our 8 month baby was crawling around. We bought pizzas from Lidl to have for tea on arrival to find there were no pizza trays or any trays for that matter. We had to bin the pizzas, but we discovered wishers-yum!
