Pinfold Cottage on the edge of lake district

Had everything we needed. In a great location for getting to the walks we wanted to do.

I liked it. The whole house. It was beautifully decorated, Christmas decorations.😄

The owner come to us and welcome us and help with the key location very friendly

A friendly welcome from the hosts who live next door. The cottage was impeccably clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Nice outside patio area. A new washing machine had been installed so we were the first to use it. The village is lovely and the locals are very friendly. The village pub does delicious food and caters for dogs too (doggy had his own little menu 😊).

Can't say we didn't like anything, we enjoyed every bit of the stay and cottage. The only thing some may grumble about is the traffic noise from the busy road at the back of the cottage. This didnt really bother us, we had read reviews before booking and so were fully prepared for it.

The cottage was lovely. Rooms were nice and and cosy. Although no facilities in the village there was plenty of information about nearby towns and distances. Well stocked game and reading cupboard ( we were out so much so didn't use but looked ok). Close enough to some lovely walks and a not a huge drive away from Scafell Pike which was a bonus for us. TV and streaming services worked ok. WiFi and phone signal was ok. I would recommend it highly and if I went back I'd see if it was available.

Due to being an old cottage house got cold reasonably quickly but I do prefer warmer temperatures so for most people this won't be an issue. Dining room table is a bit of a squeeze if you have larger people. Netflix isn't tuned in. But Prime is. Walls are not straight (this will only be an issue if you have major OCD that doesn't compute old cottages). Could hear road noise not an issue for us but if you need it super quiet may be an issue for you.
