The welcome and friendliness of the staff. The food was very good The decor of the room and en-suite The cleanliness of the room The extra little touches like The Welcome Note and Chocolate in the room. The large coffee cups, biscuits and insulated milk jug to get fresh milk from the bar, if you wanted to.

There was a bit of confusion in the restaurant with the evening meal - Was not offered the Meal Deal until we given the Meal Deal Menu for dessert! We did mention this and said we was not happy that it had not been given to us at the start. Breakfast was also confusing - It is served from 8 - 11 at weekends, we were told at reception it was only served until 10.00, my husband actually missed out on his breakfast due to a meeting he had and did not return to the hotel until 10.15. But apparently the breakfast are for resident closes at 10.00, but cooked breakfast was offered in the other eating area for non residents - Unfortunately we were not told this!!😡

Lots of stairs, but it's an old building recently renovated so I should have realised there were stairs

The toilet flush was broken and running water all night. In addition the heating in the room made a huge bang noise every 6 minutes throughout the night. Manager was inform to fix issues I left exhausted
