Great location for Beamish museum, staff very helpful, Ross couldn't do enough for us. Liked the little cabins so you don't have to go through the pub.

Mattresses very hard and can feel springs through it, rooms a little tired need some t.l.c. window in our room wouldn't shut so always a draft, could be bad in colder months. Food was mediocre and over priced for what you got. Ordered a burger with pulled pork and cheese, brought me a dry burger with a bit of limp lettuce, complained when brought back everything else on the plate was cold, Ross was lovely and didn't charge us for the meal, but it was my Bithday meal with family, so it did spoil it.

Rally pet friendly - travelling with our small dog.

Poorly fitting doors (rooms 15-20) and noise and vibration throughout the block whenever one was closed.

We had a lot of spiders, and I don't like spiders, and the heating was noisy...

The location was ideal as we were visiting Beamish so just a 10 minute drive away, also a short drive to metro centre for some shopping. The staff are really friendly and the food is lovely.
