De mensen in The North East zijn vriendelijk en je voelt je er meteen op je gemak. Wij zijn al eerder in deze omgeving geweest enhet is altijd een soort thuiskomst.

Friendly reception, quiet parking area, good location (central but quiet). Blackout curtains were a touch! The breakfast was declicious, atmosphere and decor cosy. Really good value for money.

Sash didn't close fully, allowing sound in. Music from downstairs could be heard in our room. Breakfast staff inattentive.

My chalet room outside the main building was clean and comfortable, very quiet with a nice rural view. The bar / restaurant was very busy at 6pm on a Friday so I guess it is a popular place. However there was still free seating available both inside and out - there is a pleasant garden area. The receptionist was quick and efficient. Access to Newcastle town centre by car is very easy, just 10 minutes or so, and there was available free parking despite hosting an event that night.

Breakfast service was a bit average. There were no coffee cups, crockery or cereal bowls available at the buffet when I arrived and after a 5 minute wait I had to go and find someone in the kitchen to provide. Another table was also waiting. The poached eggs in Eggs Benedict looked fried to me and were not runny.

Convenient for Beamish visit and Newcastle both within 10 min drive. Good pub food and friendly staff. Room spotless and good bathrooms

Tired rooms not very comfortable bed, bathroom needs updating, food very poor really not good at all !! , sent food back as was cold 1 dish overcooked!!, service was not great either 😕 3

All went well, the food for the evening meal was good and so was breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I prefer a hand held shower head and the shower in the room was overhead. It worked well so no complaint.
