The Railway Hotel Koyasan Pilgrimage Railway - Station Inn - Self Check-in Only

We love the aesthetic of the place, the noise of the train didn't bother us at all, it was a very cool experience. Additionally, the breakfast at Kudoyama station was hearty and yummy - we just love every aspect of the hotel. The host is also very accommodating and response very promptly in our request.

A cute place to stay. Liked the railway relics. Staff were friendly and place very clean.

Location. Did not realise the trains would run so late into the night and the electronic transformer would be so close to us. Very noisy and felt vibrations. The other room looked like it was in a better location.Black out blinds that covered the glass would have helped reduce the light from the station lights that were on all night.

The room is spacious, quirky, and luxury at the same time. Great location, as you can time your journey to and from Koyasan to the minute, literally able to jump onto a train from your room within a minute of it's arrival. The station house has a lot of nostalgic features that anyone would appreciate. Everything is well thought out including the toilet room!and there is even a little bit of cosplay 😀 available ! The self service website is thorough and getting in and out is very easy. All the amenities provided mean that you will have a comfortable stay, even when trains are running through the station. We were even able to arrange for early check in to leave our bags before heading into Koyasan. The small village is quiet and peaceful. There are a few walks to do here too.

Bathroom had a great shower

It smelt very musty and there was some mould on the wall It was one of the more expensive places on our three week trip and wasn’t worth it You need to drive to dinner and there is no where to walk in the evening but on roads Just felt run down except the bathroom

The room was ready before check-in time so it was great for our one day trip. Very easy for catching the train the next morning as the room was already in one of the station. It is also very convenient for going to Koyasan. The room was super clean and very beautiful and the experience of sleeping in the train station didn’t bother us at all, quite the opposite. I cannot forget to mention the amazing complementary breakfast you get in the closest station and also the free ticket to get there. The person in charge was really helpful during the stay and everything was perfect.

Well decorated and has many elements of train decor inside the room. Loved how it was located inside a train station, very fun. Comfortable bed, good facilities, shower and toilet. Spacious. Good view of trains running from the window. Easy self check in. Enjoyed the free onigiri from the tickets we were given.

At first was hard to find the location when we were driving to the property. There was no TV in the room. Bathroom is dark so can't do your makeup there. Not many restaurants around, needed to drive around 10mins to the nearest things.
