The Railway Hotel Koyasan Pilgrimage Railway - Station Inn - Self Check-in Only

La grande chambre avec deux lits est exceptionnelle : on se croirait dans un décor de film, avec un vrai train en arrière-plan d'un côté et le torrent de montagne de l'autre, ainsi que des éléments de décor (tableaux de bord, portes de train, uniformes,...) qui sont directement tirés de la ligne de chemin de fer. Clairement une expérience inoubliable si dormir à deux mètres d'une voie ferrée en activité ne vous effraie pas (honnêtement c'est nettement moins gênant que le bruit d'une route ou d'un carrefour de Kyoto).

La petite chambre est moins intéressante. Les rideaux pourraient un peu mieux obscurcir la pièce. Pour le bruit, les trains ne circulent pas entre minuit et 5h, mais si vous n'avez pas envie de dormir à deux mètres d'une voie ferrée en activité (un train toutes les 30mn en été), ne venez pas.

Super charming! The kids really loved it. Great design details. Very comfortable beds and luxurious bathroom facilities. Easy check in. Really convenient getting to Osaka in 2h, and within a scenic 30min drive to Koya.

Not that I didn't like it, but just a thing to pay attention to is booking the parking spot in advance using a separate online form.

The uniqueness of the property was fantastic. It was extremely convenient to access the train and surprisingly quiet inside. The train was not a disturbance at all.

We struggled to locate the room as we didn't realize that the room was directly adjacent to the ticket counter/machine. It also seemed as though the owner was watching us at times, as she ran over as soon as our friends arrived to take us to dinner. It also would've been a struggle to get food or find transportation without our friends as we don't speak Japanese. Just be aware that a lot of the area is non-English speaking and you should prepare accordingly.

It was a nice experience staying at that hotel. The amenities exceeded our expectations, and the room was exceptionally clean and spacious.

It was such a fun experience. Right at the station. The last train was before midnight and slept through the early morning trains before checking out at 10 am.

It was very special to sleep at a station. It was very easy to self check-in. Also the communication was very good and they were super friendly! Would definitely stay here again.
