The Railway Hotel Koyasan Pilgrimage Railway - Station Inn - Self Check-in Only

Very special place in the former ticket office of the railway station. Not as noisy as I expected, I slept very well despite the trains. Bring your own food, there are no restaurants or stores nearby.

The location is perfect for getting to Koyasan, and there are regular trains (which didn't disturb our sleep at all, by the way). We were able to chat with the woman in charge of housekeeping and who received our luggage. She was lovely, caring and accommodating! She seems to run a persimmon store right next door, so we recommend it! What's more, the bedding was very comfortable and the apartment is really well equipped and decorated!

We were truly surprised to find that the hotel room was literally in this small station. The ambiance and decor of the room was perfect for the experience. The beds were probably to most comfortable of our entire trip.

The actual area around the hotel offers nature but you'll need to travel into town for restaurants.

Loved the unique location of sleeping on the platform of a train station.

There was a big gap in the front door that let light, noise, and potential bugs in.

Close at station for morning transfer Bathroom was great

The window did not lot it was at pedestrian level people walking past, easy to slide and anyone could climb in so security was not good Window sliding needs to be able to lick to feel secure.
