"Nice photos...honest review"

Comfy bed, quality duvet and well-equipped kitchen, proximity to supermarket, shops etc. Tasteful decor, nice curtains.

Downstairs smell of damp, flaking paintwork and water dripping from kitchen ceiling onto the fridge. Although functional and clean the bathroom fittings/tiling left a lot to be desired. Wasn't a nice experience to use the bath/shower. Issues with no heating on arrival after a long haul flight from Australia wasn't the most welcoming. Host sorted within a few hours. Very tight, steep staircase with no handrail which I feel should be in the property description as this wouldn't suit every guest. Front door extremely difficult to close securely. Street parking is fine but very limited. A sidetable and lamp on the left of the bed would be good. Maybe a welcome book with essential/local info would be useful. Yes, the property is tastefully decorated and fully functional but not to the standard I was expecting from the photographs. Rebecca was helpful when the boiler failed but it would have been good if it had been checked prior to arrival.
