Beautiful, 1 Bedroom Cottage

The bed was lovely the best night's sleep we've had in a long time Kitchen was well eqipped and plenty of room. the lounge was very comfy. the house was warm

Garden needed a tidy up.

The property was clean and comfortable and the majority of facilities were good. It is set on a busy road but was quiet at night.

The TV didn't work. The screen said there was a weak signal or no signal. I asked the owner to come and sort it out or tell me what to do. She sent me this message: 'I've sent you a message on BDC to help with setting up the other channels. You can also use Netflix guest for lots of good programmes ' I have no idea what this meant and I dont know what BDC is. However I eventually managed to get Utube by resetting it from scratch and plugging it into a different socket. I think for £110 a night the TV should just work. Some plugs didn't look completely safe and one was wobbly. Parking was difficult ....across a busy road and a walk to a residential road about 150 yards away. Given the TV and plug issues - along with the difficulty parking on a busy road - I think £85 per night would be a fairer price.

Small and compact but has everything you could need. The house was nice and warm when we arrived, and everything was clean and comfortable, and nicely decorated. The host was responsive and helpful, and let us check in early as they had nobody staying the day before. It was very pet friendly, with a small enclosed courtyard. Sometimes we have stayed in dog friendly places with really strict rules over where the dog can and can’t go in the house, but thankfully not here and they even had dog bowls in the cupboard. Never had any issue with parking. We would happily stay again.

The only thing I feel would have been beneficial is a blind over the bathroom window. The bath is right in front of the window so didn’t really feel you could shower once it was dark!

The cottage was very warm on arrival and they had put towels in the bathroom and hotel toiletries (Obviously taken from somewhere but a nice touch) The tv could have been in a better place and the decor could have been better but it was ok for a couple of nights

The cottage was lovely however the term renovated is used very loosely as it wasn't renovated at all there was a lot of mis-haps in there so either it hadn't yet been done or it was a poor job in the first place.

Stairs were difficult but that's on book ing page. Another chair in living room and maybe cozy rug. Be good, but that's just my opinion lovely and clean, ps be nice to get some new pillows for lovely bed.. as they had gone a bit flat . But highly recommended.

No parking although on-the-road parking was available.
