"Disappointing quality for the price & location"

3.0

Breakfast was OK, nothing special. Awful juice, stale cereal. Comfortable bed.

Premises very run down & shabby. Rubbish outside. Trailer tent & rubbish in car park.

"Red kites, thatched former pub and lovely coffee machine at breakfast."

8.0

Very handy location for Thames Path walkers and a very convenient local shop near the church. The B and B is in a former old thatched pub. Rooms are mostly in buildings outside the property. We had a lovely stay as we sat outside in the sunshine watching red kites and chatting to a lovely young woman working in the B and B. She made us feel most welcome.

There were a few niggles, but quite honestly we just had a lovely experience with the lovely young lady who worked at the B and B.

"This is my third stay, so mostly as expected - will ask for a ground floor room next time."

8.0

Good breakfast. Clean, comfortable room.

Room number 6 was up a very steep flight of stairs then down several more. Larger coffee machine needed! The present one is too small and slow to cope with the number of guests at breakfast.

"Generally OK. Better than camping. Good breakfast. Helpfull staff (when they were there)."

6.0

Good breakfasts with cereals, fruit juices, toast, tea & coffee and a comprehensive full English although the eggs were always over cooked with hard yolks. Never the less, an enjoyable start to each day. The rooms were generally acceptable for the price we were paying. If one books a low price hotel, one cannot expect luxury so we were prepared to accept a certain level. With this in mind, we also liked to low price.

Check-in was odd due to no staff whatsoever on site upon arrival. A phone call to the provided number asked us to find a row of key safe boxes and a pin number was provided to access our room key. Noisy sliding door into bathroom waking others at night. Leaking toilet depositing water onto bathroom floor at a rate of around half a litre per day. Table outside our window had been painted with paint that would not dry, leaving paint on our cloths. Our TV had a fault showing patches of coloured marks across the screen. On our final morning, the breakfast was served to our table of four, however only three meals arrived and I was left watching others eating for ten minutes before asking for my breakfast & mine arrived as I had been forgotten! Shame, because the breakfasts was one of the best features of our stay.
