The decor is a bit tired but other than that it's great value for your money.

Very lovely staff, bed was comfort and sleep well. Helpful in the hotel.

Room could have been cleaner Rooms need re painting as well as public toilets No manager or staff on site in the mornings

The room smelt like smoke and it was dirty, I couldn’t sleep as it was loud and the bed wasn’t comfortable one of the lights didn’t work too. The price was ridiculous for what the room was like.

Location fine. Very quiet, close to centre of town. Car parking was free. Bedroom and bathroom had storage and plenty of room to move around in.

The wealthy travelling public in the coaching era stayed at the Bacon Arms. Today the wealthy would not stay here,. Its rather bear with uncarpeted floors. Its tired and is in need of a revamp but not modernisation. The rear room is large and open, it needs more intimate spaces. The food is typical pub food and monotamous, it needs to attract more clientel.
