Skott's Comfy Lodge

Of all the stays i had in philippines (9 in total), this was the cleanest one (including the bathroom). Breakfast was basic but good (some more options would be nice - not just rice or bread to the egg). Bed is comfy. Enough storage space for stuff. Everything was working. Shower is hot and enough pressure. Refrigerator. Helpful staff. The split aircon is silent and doesnt smell (i had a lot of dirty smelly aircon in my philippines stays...) nice garden. close to a nice beach. Drinking water station to refill from. Extension cable with several power connections available. TV has HDMI (if you wonder where to switch the input -> the barely visible buttons on the back right) Tips: rent a motorbike at one of the rentals (will be a little bit cheaper then let the hotel organize it). Noone cares on the island, if you have no license. you can visit all the islands attractions freely then. It was a lot of fun to drive around the island with several stops here and there. Everything is much cheaper in one of the other towns of the island - Santa Fe has tourist pricing.

I did like the stay, this is mainly list of things where the hotel could improve, so it would be a 9 or 10/10: When its raining, there is a big 15cm deep puddle on the access road, which covers the whole width of the road. The etablisments that are using this road should come together to fix the issue. Manpower is cheap in philippines. The table in the room is not comfortable to work on laptop. My shoulder started hurting. A small ergonomical 1 Person working space inside would be nice. Mosqitoes outside in breakfast area. A spray will help and the mounted fan also helps a bit. When they are cleaning the room, they seem to let door open, always had 1 or 2 mosqitoes inside the room after cleaning. There is some space on one of the walls. A small kitchen work space with some storage and some equipment to prepare cold meals would be very nice. The door of entrance and bathroom is not well insulated, you can see light through and the noise from the neigbours comes through. It also decreases effectiveness of the aircon. There are some cheap solutions to fix that, and increase comfyness of the stay. Water pressure might be lacking, when someone else uses it too.

The exterior of the property is beautifully and thoughtfully landscaped. It feels like a little oasis! Jaime keeps all of the beautiful plants looking fabulous! The rooms were super clean, spacious and comfy. The outdoor covered patio was a wonderful peaceful place for coffee and breakfast.

Skott's is a boutique accommodation in the quiet part of Santa Fe. The accommodation is only a couple minutes walk to one can argue to be one of the best beach in Santa Fe. Uncrowded and clean. The accommodation exceeded my expectations with regards to room size and comfort, cleanliness and most of all the friendliness and accommodating staff. Special thanks to Liza & Jimmy who made us feel welcomed and goes out of their way to ensure our stay is very comfortable and relaxed. These two elevated our stay to a level that makes us want to return to Skott's Comfy Lodge.

There should be a door bell by the reception in case you arrive and the staff are busy in the other parts of the resort

The breakfast was the same every day, and while it was very tasty, by the last day of the stay, it got a bit boring.

We had an exceptionally good and comfortable stay. Virginia and her staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the rooms are massive with super comfy beds; beautifully maintained gardens; inside and out were extremely clean; great and efficient laundry service and support in organising scooters / transfers / taxis; and all of this a 1 minute walk from a great and super quiet beach. Would absolutely recommend to friends. Great value for money.

Our stay was really pleasant and the personnel are very accommodating. If you need laundry, they can do it for you. The beach is only a few steps from the hotel.

Maybe they can give the guest a foldable chair that they can bring at the beach since it's not a front beach. But it's not a must, only a recommendation. ☺️

With only three rooms, this place is quiet. 3 minute walk to beach. What a lovely place!
