Best described as "no frills" but more than adequate for the price. I spent a comfortable night here close to my desired destination on the Lancaster Canal. Couldn't fault the staff.

Excellent location. Everything was clean. I was OK for the money.

The room door was not secure. There were no toiletries whatsoever. The shower went cold mid flow at one point for at least a minute and the temperature was difficult to adjust. The present owners have only been in the property for 6 months and are in the process of rectifying issues, windows have recently been replaced and the room doors are due to be replaced shortly. It is an old building with wonky floors that has not been updated to the highest standards in the past. I would be interested to see how far the present refurbishment goes.
