The Eagle and Child

Unable to stay here as despite advertising availability on Booking.com they messaged to say they were unable to accommodate. They said I would receive a refud. Ireceived no refund. Whether this is Booking.com's fault or the Hotel's is unclear. However I am £s down because of using booking.com. I am guessing just like last time I ised booking.com to find it was a fraudulent advert and accommodation does not exist I will not recieve a refind but will have to chargeback my card ANd they default on their supposed compensation policy. More fool me for using booking.com again. Lesson learned.

I recommend the royal hotel just across the street.

Shower pressure was terrible and only stayed warm for 5 mins tops also the heating switches of at night. Wouldn’t recommend

We were in Garstang for an overnight stay and just needed a comfortable bed, which is what we had. For the price, we could not have high expectations but no complaints from us.

No complaints. No soap in the bathroom, probably just an oversight. I often 'borrow' a complementary bar of soap from stays in other hotels. I had a couple in my soapbox, no problem.

Staff were polite and helpful. They have their own parking area off street. Room and bathroom were clean. Big room with high ceilings. They accept check ins until 11pm, so good for a late booking. Right on the high street.

The room was very bare bones. Functional, but literally just 2 beds and bedside tables, and a side table with tea and coffee etc in plastic tupperwares. No chairs, no desk. Could hear noise from the pub quite late into the night.

Good central location, very friendly and helpful staff.

No breakfast but I believe there’s future plans for this.

The Eagle and Child Garstang was a great last minute stay. Great staff, very comfortable rooms. Currently no they don't offer breakfast but with talking to the manager Dan they have plans coming into place very soon.

I don't have anything that I didn't like here.
