Food uninspiring, soaps hospital issue

Comfy clean and good food.

If doing the South Downs way from Amberley direction bit of a dodgy walk along the road. If coming the other way there is an excellent cut through!

The breakfast was the major issue of concern. Advertized as "Continental", there was not even a slice of bread, just some plastic stuff.

Last minute realisation that food not on that eve, breakfast in a hamper - but found cadence up the road on the South Downs way by accident - Be good to let guests know as the fry up was ace! couldn’t buy lunch as no staff around in morning and reckon we would of. Most expensive place we stayed .. quite a bit more than the black horse in Amberley which was interesting .

The team running the pub and rooms were very hospitable and did a great job welcoming us. The evening meals were excellent and very enjoyable. The grab and go breakfast was more than adequate and a good solution as the kitchen wasn't open in the mornings.

My room (No. 1) was well-appointed but it would have been better with sockets or even USB sockets nearer to the bedside table for charging my phone.
