The Blue Bell at Cocking

Breakfast was more than enough.

Staff were lovely, bed comfortable, had a lovely dinner there too.

Great place, nice people and easy to get to other locations and not in a city center.

The staff were lovely and warm, the room was very comfortable and the food in the pub was exactly what I needed after a long day hiking.

What a gem of a place. The staff were superb, welcoming on arrival, the locals equally great, this is a real community hub in the making. The beers were great on arrival and the foot menu was just a celebration of pub classics. The room was perfect for a one night stay, great facilities. The evening meal was absolutely delicious, along with finishing off with sticky toffee pudding. Great nights sleep and then it was off again on the South Downs Way. The breakfast provided was plentiful, not freshly cooked but we were aware and had porridge, yogurt, fruit and snacks. If you're travelling the South Downs Way, the Blue Bell at Cocking is a must for a stay over, it will only get better.

Even not getting a cooked breakfast did not spoil the stay.

New venture, off to a good start. Friendly staff, pleasant room, excellent shower, good food, nice location for the South Downs.

Would have been nice to be able to eat our breakfast "bag" at a table downstairs instead of in our room, no table.
