CLIFFE COTTAGE - Countryside Cottage in Castleton, Peak District National Park

Beautiful cottage in a stunning part of the British Isles. The cottage had all modern amenities and had plenty of space inside. Spotless on arrival, and we even had access earlier than planned, which was appreciated.

Not a fault of the property, but parking in the town is at a premium.

Single beds very uncomfortable.Could feel and hear springs. Other beds comfortable tho. Only one parking permit so had to pay for parking. Not many logs for 1st night. Could be a stunning place to stay with a little updating and finishing touches

The property was in a fabulous location right in the centre. It was clean and comfortable and dog friendly which is very important to us as we have an epilepsy service dog and a pet dog.

Absolutely nothing it was awesome.

Everything! The cottage was very nice and picturesque in a great location, right in the heart of Castleton. The cottage was very clean and comfortable with great facilities, including a great kitchen and bathroom, with no issues whatsoever. We would happily stay here again!

There is nothing we didn't like. We slightly messed up on the parking, which was our own fault as we forgot to put the permit in the car window. Although we didn't get fined, our car did get blocked in by a disgruntled resident and was difficult to get out.

What a fantastic cottage nestled in a quiet part of castleton. The sweet treats were a lovely surprise. We often visit the Peak District and will now make this our regular place to stay. There were no problems, but regular contact with Ben meant we knew what to do if there was.

The location of Cliffe Cottage is perfect. We arrived at night so didn't get a full feel of the location in Castleton but woke up in the morning to the treat of Peak Cavern and the village. There are many wonderful hikes within walking distance too. The cottage has a cozy feel and is perfect for relaxing after a hike.

Unfortunately the wood burner had been broken by a previous renter. It was completely out of the control of the owner, but was a bit disappointing as we had really looked forward to a fire after wet hikes. Again, it was out of their control though.

Location was great

Excellent little cottage in a great location if you're looking to hike around the area. Beds were super comfortable which was perfect after hiking all day. Pretty clean apart from a few dog hairs which is to be expected.

Extra toilet roll and dishwasher tablets could be provided as we ran out during our stay. Heating coming on in the night meant we had to open windows but not a big issue.
