"A disappointing stay because of the poor state of cleanliness, and unpleasant odours."

The property would have been nice if it was clean. However, the main living spaces had not been properly cleaned before arrival, soft furnishings were visibly dirty and smelled bad downstairs, and proper cleaning of some areas had not been conducted for months.

Great location

Although owner messaged to say I could contact at any time, they did not get back to me. It would have been nice to have more than 1 bin bag, some kitchen roll, a lighter for the fire etc. also a fair amount of human hair on the beds.

"Excellent location to walk and enjoy the very best of the Peak District"

Location was great, we like walking and hills! Rooms were a nice size, comfy beds, all you would need in the kitchen drawers and cupboards and a nice shower to start the day. Clear instructions and great communication when we were stumped with a parking issue, read the instructions and you’ll be fine! We were even treated a live music gig from the cave a few meters away from the cottage!

Wonderful location. Walk to multiple walking paths pubs farm shop and cafes. Lovely kitchen and two sofas in living room making it easy for our family to relax. Generous number of towels provided and a selection of welcome goodies (baked treats, wine and crisps etc). Excellent information booklet provided by owners who were very responsive

Twin beds mattresses in one bedroom a bit uncomfortable (can feel wire structure of mattress through) could do with toppers. The other beds were super comfortable.
