Granny's farm

The venue is gorgeous. There is a huge garden and the view around is beautiful. We had a lovely bungalow, well equipped and spacious. The place was quite and calm, we could cook and dine in the beautiful view.

The shower door was not closing firmly so the bathroom was a little flooded.

Common kitchen and bbq area well equipped. Washing machine not cheap but working well and easy

Tents could benefit from something to put your bags on instead of just on the floor and something firm to sit on instead of only sitting bags

The surroundings and the gardens (which are perfectly maintained) of Granny’s Farm are sooo beautiful. The kitchen/bar/bathrooms area is also very sweet and tastefully decorated, very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay surrounded by mountains!

Not a negative but there are a few local dogs who bark quite late into the night so I’d recommend some ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper!

Grannys farm was very very beautiful both in location and the little bungalow we rented was also very pretty and the amenities are pretty decent. Its a great area if you enjoy hiking relatively difficult hikes but we would recommend bringing a car to get around if you're planning on staying here.

There were a few things that let the place down, number 1 being that it is extremely remote and all of the shops nearby were cash only, which isn't mentioned anywhere on the site but could really negatively impact on a lot of people who chose to stay here. There is also no air-conditioning or even a fan in the bungalow which is extremely uncomfortable in the hot nights. The shower was only hot for about 3 minutes meaning if you were the second person to shower it was ice cold. We also found that Francisco the owner wasn't the best communicator, we opted to leave 3 nights earlier due to us not being able to rent a car and struggling to get ubers due to the location. We messaged Francisco asking where he would like us to leave the key on our exit and he didn't respond to us until much much later that day meaning we just ended up leaving the key in one of the plant pots. We know this was an issue with another couple staying as they were promised a lift to an ATM to withdraw cash as they weren't able to buy food and he then let them down last minute meaning they were going round knocking on doors asking others to help them out. We tried to visit the bar a couple times whilst we were there to find that it was shut everytime we tried to go with no signs when it would be open. We would also recommend going to the shop one minute down the road as there is far more variety there than the shop a 15 minute hike uphill which is recommended by the owner. Also be prepared to share your house with lizards and house centipedes.

Most beautiful place we ever stayed, waking up with the view of the mountains is truly magical. We slept in one of the tents, and loved that everything felt so luxurious and comfortable.

The atmosphere and views were wonderful! The gardens are a beautiful place to relax, and the property is well located to explore the island.
