Granny's farm

- The property is beautiful, the garden is well-maintained, and the view is great. - Communication with the host was easy and straightforward. - There was a nice little welcome gift waiting for us, which we appreciated.

- There was a very unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom at times, which seems to be due to a problem with the drainage. We bought toilet cleaner ourselves, which only helped to a limited extent. - The bed isn’t breathable due to the mattress cover, so the sheets became damp very quickly – likely also because of the high humidity in the apartment. - The washing machine and dryer are listed in the property description, but each use costs €5, which we found rather expensive. Additionally, the dryer didn’t work. - The apartment could be better equipped in some areas – for example, there were no extra trash bags or toilet paper for restocking; we had to buy everything ourselves. - The bathroom door sticks and makes a loud banging noise every time it’s closed. - The shower only stays warm for about 10 minutes. After a long hike, it felt stressful to know the water could suddenly turn cold before both of us had finished showering. We understand that some of these issues can’t be resolved quickly, as the property is located in an area with high humidity. However, given the high price, we had hoped not to have to deal with problems like the bad smell from the bathroom. This review only applies to Apartment B – it’s possible that the issues mentioned do not exist or are less of a problem in the other apartments. *All in all, we unfortunately would not recommend this accommodation.*

Pros: location (PR16 hike is around the corner and incredible), garden, views, ability to cook and store food/drinks. Cons: Moldy and damp condition (bungalow D) - see pictures, WiFi didn’t work for most of the stay, washing and drying is 5 euro per usage, bed is small and v-shaped, total squared meters is less than mentioned on Dutch Booking.com (around 35 squared meters instead of 60), owner wasn’t very communicative in order to address (mainly solve) some of these cons.

the views! the location was convenient for me bc I had a rental car to get to my hikes. and easy checkin with access code and communication. it depends what your visit is for if this location will suit you but it suited me very well. i really appreciated the kitchen amenities. i’d grocery shopped and made my own meals with a gorgeous garden to enjoy and stunning mountain views.

I went during “off season” so I did find it damp - the bed felt wet often but I know that was my body heat and the humidity (?) - clothes took more than 24hours to hang dry. but that’s just the weather/area. I was grateful for the space heater and big fuzzy blanket! really cozy experience during rainy season :)

The location was stunning, the gardens of the farm were so beautiful. The facilities in the accommodation were good, everything you need for a few days. The host was helpful and welcoming.

The place was magnificent, the localisation was just like in fairytale, waking up in the morning and opening a window to the garden felt like really at The Granny's Farm. The vibe of a little cottage was very special. The inside was arranged in a vintage vibe, which was very nice too. We will miss this view... .

If we really need to say what we didn't like, we can just give a little suggestion to check out the bed as felt like the letter V. But it's really something can be fixed easily.
