Granny's farm

The camping was lovely, a very well equipped tent also with blankets, electricity, fridge.. There was a laundry service and a shared kitchen and grill. Very welcoming owner, he gave us suggestions for some hikes. Very comfy bed, I slept very well underneath a sky full of stars.

Lovely location and setting with beautiful gardens on the property. Sorrounded by mountains the bungalow was cozy. Well equiped kitchen. There is possibility for laundry (5€/wash) and you then sun dry it.

We had a water leak early in the morning (water in the bedroom) that woke us up..which can happen but the staff was unresponsive for atleast 3-4hours, so we had to take care of it by ourselves. Even after we did all we could, not even an apology was given.

Great place to stay in Sao Vicente close to some great hikes! The house is big and perfect for 6 people. Loved having breakfast on the terrace in the morning and enjoying the garden in the afternoon. Definitely recommended

We loved the atmosphere and the facilities, we stayed 10 days and could easily visit everything in Madeira because of the central position.

The bedsheets where not big enough and we had to make the bed every night again and we didn’t have a lot of light jn the tent. Besides that our stay was perfect :)

Very comfortable bed, very beautiful setting. Great kitchen facilities (including oil and salt and pepper available), washing machine and clothes line. Great drinks at the bar as well! We loved Granny’s and would definitely come back.

Was not an issue for us as we had a rental car, but I can imagine it would be tricky to get here and around without a car.

Would highly recommend staying here they have everything you could need and very well kept. Make sure to get some sangria from the bar as well !

During our long stay in Madeira we lived at 7 different hotels/camps in different places on the island and this one was the best! Absolute chill out place, beautiful tents with private sitting in front of it, hammocks, garden... there is a bar where a friendly host will serve you drinks for a very good price. The bathrooms and kitchen had nothing to do with facilities normally found in camps! It was like to be in someone's luxurious villa's bathroom and kitchen! It's so romantic place for couples! Beautiful view, peace, incredibly clean! And the organization was perfect as well. I have nothing to complain about. I just wish we could stay more days!

Very special property with breathtaking, relaxing ambience and nature around. A perfect spot to relax, being away from the buzz and enjoying pure nature and a calm environment.

Some of the dishes were unfortunately not cleaned when we arrived. Bathroom could have some hooks to hang towels in. Other than that everything was great!

We enjoyed our stay at Francisco's place so much. The farm is beautiful, quiet and the location is magical. We will definetely return one day :)
