Staff is very helpful. One drawback is the hotel is a little far from Ubud Centre, and there is only few shuttle bus per day to town. Any out-of-schedule bus service is RP 50000 per room.
Nice hotel, no noise, pool perfect see on the rice
Surrounded by rice field and set in what seems to be an old temple, the place has a amazing feel. Staff are very friendly. It's Ubud time over there very relaxing but some free activities like the dancing and yoga class were canceled for us. We did enjoy our time there and could of stay another day by the pool. Instead of walking to the city (30 min hard wall) take the advantage of the free shuttle because taxi are very expensive.
We stayed at Suly for 4 nights. The staff are totally brilliant. I've never been to a hotel with such helpful and polite staff: always happy to help. A few guests were very rude and even then, the staff managed to keep smiling! The hotel is located just outside of Ubud (about 10 minutes by taxi, although we walked in to town once too). It is a very peaceful setting surrounded by rice fields. We sat and enjoyed a drink while watching local farmers harvesting rice, which was lovely. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again if we ever return to Bali.
The hotel is part of a hospitality school but I saw so many kids just standing around doing nothing when there was obviously so much that they could be doing. The rates are fantastic, and if you are not looking for five star, then it would not be a bad choice. Good option for long stay guests who are on a budget, i.e. back packers or volunteers.
Pool is amazing. Staff go out of their way to help you. We absolutely loved the staff. Great place, amazing value. Location is a bit out of the way, but that does have its perks. Also u can rent a motorbike and there is a shuttle into town.
My stay was relaxing, peaceful with clean facilities, warm friendly polite staff and a lovely restaurant with beautiful food.
