Inn at Joshua Tree

Room was comfortable and a reasonable size. Very handy for the Joshua Tree Park and a large grocery store a couple of blocks east.

We unwittingly booked this motel just as it was changing its name. We were told the hot breakfast was being wound up in a day or two after our arrival for three nights, which didn't amuse me because that was what we had booked it for. In fact the hot breakfast continued throughout our stay but has probably stopped now. The various staff members didn't seem to know what was going on. The site is very faded and tatty, and broken down looking. The stairwell entrance was covered with a huge filthy spillage stain that wasn't cleaned up. The pool is revolting, closed and full of mildewy water. I remember when this place was a pretty decent Best Western - it's a long, long way from that now. The internet was very slow and weak. I had to use my laptop as a hotspot for my phone to connect to. There were so few guests, the hot water had to be run for 20 minutes to get any warmth.

No handicapped parking outside room. No chair or bench in shower for me to sit on. Took 22 minutes to run water to warm. I called front desk and he told me 10 minutes! What a waste of water! I could have ran the water while I ate breakfast and drank coffee if I’d known. No one told me and it made me late for my 8 am appointment.

The rooms were clean and comfy beds for sure.

The pool was closed down along with jacuzzi, those are major for a hotel room I believe I was disappointed that I couldn’t relax in jacuzzi. The hallways had pigeons that were a nuisance.

Für ein typisches Road-Motel und für 1-2 Nächte war die Unterkunft ganz in Ordnung.

Die Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig, unsere Zimmertür ist wohl irgendwann einmal gewaltsam geöffnet und nur notdürftig repariert worden. Das Frühstück könnte besser sein, der Kaffee war (wie fast überall in den USA) nicht genießbar.
