Cosy Alpine Cottage in the heart of Lancashire

Beautiful cottage and living area. Lovely view to one side of cottage over canal and greenery.

Double bed very uncomfortable. Noise from trains wasn't mentioned. Not as rural as expected or as peaceful. Cars off road often, and as mentioned trains.

Well equipped and comfortable cottage with a nice design, with good green views all around. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern and easy to use.

It's very close to the motorway, which is of course convenient, but means you do get quite some traffic noise when outside the property. It is pretty well sound insulated inside however, so not a problem for sleeping etc.

Perfect, the cottage had everything and was decorated to a high standard. Easy walk to the village centre for shops and food. Views from the cottage were beautiful

Property was lovely very well equipped. Loved the fairy lights around the balcony.

Was a little disappointed that the only frying pan we could use was too small and was burning the food in the middle of the pan. The electric Hob was induction, so the pan with a lid that we brought with us we couldn't use. Would have been helpful if we had known it was induction before we arrived.

What an amazing place to stay and such a fantastic host. We stayed over Christmas and they included a lot of decorative touches which made the stay extra special. In general, it felt like everything we needed was there. We stayed as a family of 4 and there was plenty of space for us all. The location is great, in a quiet area, but close to everything you’d need. We would absolutely stay again.
