The Beechwood

Our room was newly renovated and lovely presented, one suggestion. Somewhere to hang your coats and clothes in the bathroom.

Hotel was chosen close to nieces wedding venue and restaurant for family dinner. The venue was a short taxi ride and the restaurant a 5 minute walk. The hosts were very welcoming and accommadating. Easy check in and able to come and go at anytime as you have key to front door.

Took a while for the hot water to come through, but fine when it did.

Very comfy bed and pillows. The location is quiet. Lovely hot and powerful shower.

Nothing. For the price, this is a no frills, very good value for money place.

Very basic but functional for us

The owner who greeted me was friendly and helpful, and he let me view a couple of the rooms and pick which one I preferred. The bedroom was bright and airy and had obviously been decorated fairly recently, with new carpet. It had basic facilities like a small TV and kettle, decent wardrobe space. Everything I needed for a one night stay. The location was good for where I needed to be in Roundhay and it was reasonably priced. I didn't have time to sit outside, but if I had, the garden area looked quite nice.

The shower has seen better days and could do with an upgrade. It took about 10 minutes for any hot water to come out of the taps or shower. The bathroom towels were a bit on the thin side. The first impressions when parking round the back of the building weren't great - it looks like the building could do with a bit of TLC, with crumbling window frames and tired carpet in some of the communal areas. It's a shame they don't offer breakfast (though I knew before my stay that this was the case so it wasn't a surprise).

Very comfy bed and pillows. Nice location with plenty of pubs, restaurants and a lovely park. Good value for money.

Nothing, just decent accommodation and very good value for money. I'll be back.

Owner was lovely

Rooms weren't finished, very dated, architrave missing, skirting boards missing; shower hardly worked.. alot of money for what it is sadly

The location was ideal and very convenient.

The option to have a breakfast even if only cereal, toast & fruit would have been nicer
