great location, quiet, calm and peaceful. Modern updated and well appointed apartment. Beautiful jam, bread, milk and tea available. A terrific location for exploring the Boyne Valley and all its treasures. Thank you. I would highly recommend this place.

The bed in the smaller bedoom is quite hard and lumpy.

"Old charm, New Comforts"

10.0

This quaint and charming property is located in a picturesque part of Ireland, close to Slane Castle and Newgeange, a Stone Age (Neolithic) UNESCO world heritage site that should not be missed. We absolutely loved our stay. Accommodations were very clean and well appointed with a delicious breakfast of fresh, Irish bread and jam with juice, coffee, and tea. One unexpected surprise was having access to laundry facilities. The property was once the horse stables for Townley Manor, and the place has been converted with every modern convenience with a courtyard that is lovely and quiet. The owners were friendly and accommodating and even showed us how to access nearby walking trails. We absolutely would recommend this vacation rental if you are wanting to stay in a place that has been beautifully renovated with a historical feel. Perfect for two couples. Loved having access to separate bathrooms. The beds were luxurious and comfortable. We highly recommend this property!

Extra hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom and a luggage stand in the bedrooms would have been helpful.

"Our favorite stay during our four week trip!"

10.0

What a lovely place! We so enjoyed the beautiful setting, the layout and thoughtful design of our accommodation, the kindnesses shown by the hosts, Valerie and Brian. It was a wonderful choice for not only visiting New Grange, but also to celebrate a birthday (with a very nice dinner at Scholars Townhouse Hotel in Drogheda, followed by a lively evening of music in McHugh's Pub). The grounds and paths around Townley Hall are fun to explore and one might be greeted by a gaggle of curious goats.

All four of us liked everything about the Garden Rooms at the Courtyard.

"Life’s short, take a chance, get outta the big hotels and live a little!"

10.0

We chose this place last minute, fortunately for us, they had one room open for our desired dates. It’s a converted carriage house/stables (I think), regardless, the place is delightful. We were coming to the end of a two-week Ireland visit and needed a place to unwind a bit. There are several options for short, interesting walks… either to visit the manor grounds next door or to “get lost” in the woods down the lane… we did both and couldn’t recommend one over the other. The owners are terrific, watching them tend to the grounds with loving care let us see how involved they are on a personal level.

I’m gonna have to think long and hard on this question… our entire stay was wonderful.
