"It was ok. Nothing great."

6.0

It is a pleasant enough stay for an overnight. Anything beyond 2 days is overkill. There is not much to do. One.. there is no beach. No sand. Just straight into the ocean for some snorkeling or scuba if the weather permits. Yes, the water is clear, you CAN see fish but not much live corals near the non-existent shore. NO LIFEGUARD on duty either. You have to HIRE a snorkeling guide for 1650 per person for 2 hrs. The supposed cathedral and nearby marine sanctuary is not so near. Unless you’re a pro, you will be tired before you even reach it so without a guide, you’re out of luck. Because again, no lifeguard. Rooms are nice and cool. Aircon was new. It’s clean. However, if your beds are covered in the brown/green blanket… ask for the beddings to be changed right away. Ask for the white duvets. As soon as we arrived, my kid lay down face first on the brown/green bed cover and in minutes came up with lots of red bites on his face. Once linens were changed to the plain white ones however, we spent a pleasant 4 days without a single bite. Food. Portions are big—however, they are redundant and for locals, overpriced. You will be spending approximately 500 per person, per meal. And since this place is very remote, there is no food panda or grab. There’s free wifi at the lobby and resto and also in your room but limited to 1 device per person. It is also a steep incline going out of the place so you’re basically stuck here unless you want to subject your car (and driving skills) going in and out of the resort in search of cheaper and yummier food. It’s right next to the sea but barely have any seafood on their menu AND these are from the supermarket. Not fresh caught. There is no option of “paluto” or freshly grilled seafood unless Tilapia can suddenly breath in salt water. Oh and room service comes with an additional 20% on the price of the food you ordered. Coming from the room to the resto… there is no shade. So you’re either under the sun or under the rain.

Breakfasts are good and standard. The “Calamansi Pie” is worth it. Everything else… is glorified canteen food with big portions. Nothing that will make you say “I’m ordering that again”. Resto table cleanliness is a miss for me as well. Whatever spilled on your tablecloth the day before (or floor) will still be there the next day. When they saw me taking pictures and videos of the state of things, the manager suddenly asked all servers to start polishing all the utensils already laid out on all tables. Even the plants stuck in water glasses as center pieces had little mosquito babies squirming around in it. Which tells you that they don’t change the water or move those things at all. Pools are nice. Around 4 ft. Clean. The slide is rough… so only certain swimsuits will slide on it. Be careful of your skin. It is already abrasive. They advertised several activities which all have their own separate prices. Standard for most resorts. Gel Blaster gun shooting (don’t bother—the gun batteries are all dead and broken). Trampoline… nice and big but the rusted legs will make any mom worry about their kids bouncing in it. And this is usually free in other resorts we’ve been to. Crystal kayak… looks ok. Hand paddle boats… ok. Fishing… didn’t try. For those who like karaoke… it’s 2500 per 3 hours. Halleluyah. The price meant nobody wanted to sing. Hence peaceful nights. Yes!!!! As a sidenote: Massage is 900/hour. Saltwater reef pool. Free to use. Great for kids and adults who don’t want to risk the open water. There are fish in there and one particular sad looking giant grouper. No live corals however. Good enough for folks wanting to learn how to dive or just float around safely looking at fish. Here’s the clincher--- they advertise that they are a beach and dive resort. There is NO beach at the resort. The beach is at a nearby island called Sepoc which Eagle Point supposedly owns and manage. To get there, you have to pay 4125 for the round trip boat ride—max 8 people.

"Bof : heureusement le personnel qui s’occupe de la plongée est top mais je conseil d’amener votre propre équipement sino"

5.0

La nature autour et la proximité du corail pour la plongée

Difficulté d’accès par shuttle pas de petits sari-sari pour acheter des snacks: le front desk vous interdit de ramener quelque chose à grignoter ou des bières pour vous obliger à aller dans leur resto cher et pas terrible

"Great Views with Extra Fees."

7.0

Scenery & Views, Food is Generous.

Dated amenities even with modern upgrades. With the extra fees, the place could have done better than pocketing extra. Beds could be much comfortable and there is no hot water.
