Full of character. Immaculately decorated .

The room is quite high up on the second floor and the layout is unclear. It was not obvious, but rooms nine and 10 were through a fire door and up an additional flight of stairs. That should be made clear in the arrival instructions to avoid confusion. It was necessary for us to call finest retreats to resolve the situation and we wasted half an hour getting access. Some ceilings were low as it is in the converted roof space, which lends character but requires care, especially if you get out of bed in the night in the dark! There is no dining table. Sitting at the breakfast bar is fine for breakfast but not the same in the evening..

"Great place to stay quiet and it was like staying at Downton Abbey"

Exceptional apartment, parking no problem, very quiet all of the stay,everything you needed for a great stay.

Stairs to room were a nightmare ,if you have mobility problems, my partner had to carry all bags up as the lift was out of order. Finest retreats were not very helpful in any way,I'm missed the cancellation period by few hours due to my brothers illness, and they said about few times they would help me out after management meetings but never got back ,they never did even after he past away, lucky for us the window of opportunity to go came to go ,as the funeral was 2 days after our stay ,it all worked out well and it was the break we needed.

Very clean with up to-date design - space for the car - quiet

Lift not working and the resultant climb up the stairs . Internally the eves; ducking your head in the bedroom and living room.

Everything. Felt like I was comfortable, yet in a castle!

Elevator was not working, but we got lots of steps ascending to this treetop nook.

Location, quality of furnishings

There was a leak under the sink which had been there a while. We were unable to use the sink or the dishwasher. In other words it was near impossible to self cater as we could only wash up in the bathroom. We were there Friday to Monday and the company said they were unable to find an emergency plumber. No one came to assess the situation and on the Sunday we were advised to ‘buy a bucket’!

Fabulous 1 bed with separate lounge kitchen. Very relaxing. Lovey setting and easy to walk into Ripon. Great for parking.
