Mahout Resort Wayanad - An Experiential Jungle Stay with Waterfall

We recently enjoyed a delightful stay at Mahout Resort in Wayanad. While not classified as a premium luxury stay, Mahout Resort offers a serene retreat that is perfect for those seeking a peaceful getaway without breaking the bank. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The resort is nestled amidst tranquil surroundings, providing a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Despite the rain limiting our outings, the resort itself offered plenty to appreciate. Special thanks to Vinayak for graciously upgrading us to the honeymoon cottage, which offered breathtaking views of the nearby waterfalls. The staff at Mahout Resort were exceptional. Their warmth and hospitality ensured our stay was not only comfortable but also memorable. The team, led by Captain who oversaw our dining experience, consistently served delicious meals and catered to our preferences with care. If I were to highlight an area for improvement, it would be the bathroom floors, which were a bit slippery. Adding some grip or non-slip mats could enhance safety. Additionally, installing railings along the pathways would provide added security for guests navigating the property, especially during rainy weather. Overall, our experience at Mahout Resort was delightful. The combination of serene surroundings, attentive staff, and comfortable accommodation made our two-day stay truly enjoyable. We look forward to returning and would recommend Mahout Resort to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in Wayanad

A truly wonderful resort located inside lush green coffee plantation. We were 3 people and stayed for 5 days and I must say this was an enchanting soul soothing experience with Mahout Resort. We stayed in mud room which was neat and comfy. Best thing is all the rooms are different in some aspects and situated far from each other providing utmost privacy for guests. Room service is also on the spot and a heartfelt shout out for all the staff who were attentive and humble all the time. Manager Vinayak was charismatic and always a call away with all his professionalism on display. Mr Nithin was also very polite and helpful. Here is the best part🙌 An amazing waterfall is there inside the resort boundaries which was flowing in it's full glory in July. Had so much fun there. It was super clean ( Special request for people going there not to litter it even a bit🙏) An in-house restaurant is there with limited menu as chef there prepare everything fresh sourced daily from market nearby. Food was delicious and breakfast although specific but lip smacking. Resort is located 3 kms uphill from main road with no proper Road but resort jeeps are there plying from main road dedicated parking whenever guests wants to travel inside and out. Playing area has Table tennis, Carrom, Badminton and football Special love to the guide dog Charlie ❤️

Only two things went bad :: 1- Hot water was unavailable in the mornings and evenings 2 times so it was frustrating although they fixed the issue fast but being a cold place hot water is must without interruption all the time. 2- We found dead ants in Parottas ordered on 4th evening dinner which is a serious lapse on kitchen and food hygiene practices. An request to all resort staff to take solid note of this.
