Mahout Resort Wayanad - An Experiential Jungle Stay with Waterfall

Oh my God!! Stay. This resort definitely exceeded my expectation. Amazing jungle view, literally this stay is amidst the jungle with all in its beauty. this property have private Waterfall so neat and amazing, we enjoyed it alot. Also, this property offers jungle safari and guide for Chembra peak trek. food is okay. Authentic Kerala brakfast : Amazing. Amazing service, amazing staff. Loved my 3 days stay. Note: to reach property there is 3 km long off road stretch. If 4X4 car or good experience of off roading then only drive till resort. Otherwise parking is there before this 3 km off-road and resort will send jeep for pick-up.

We didn't like anything but we paid 10,000 for bad behaviour, and the worst facility ever. We reached the resort at 5pm with advance booking of room, and multiple confirmation to the resort manager on a phone call. We were asked to wait for 2-3 mins as staff was getting the keys, but this wait got extended to 45-50mins as staff was not getting the keys but they cleaning the rooms after we reached the destination. They cleaned the room in hurry, left old bed sheets in the room itself. I have all the pics to share. After 45 mins of wait, when we got the rooms, there was no soap, towel, hand wash,water etc. and on top of that there was no power. Their power back up was the worst. It was a full waste of money and time for us. We were told sorry, and requested to not put a bad review. I am writing here, as we felt that the Mahout team didn't care about what we went through. We felt cheated, and we couldn't change the hotel as it was late evening. And being a girl, it was not safe either..
